Ducted Air Filtration Systems
Clean Air America Ducted Systems
When installing turn-key systems, Clean Air America uses 2 styles of ducting. We recommend the use of the Clamp Together Style Ducting. This is available in up to a 24" diameter. For diameters greater than this, we use a "flanged" version. However, in applications where low costs are a key to success rather than future flexibility, we recommend a "flanged" duct style. This is available as either a “smooth interior" flange or spiral with outer flanges.
Clamp Together Duct - Ideal for fume, dust and material handling systems in process manufacturing facilities requiring frequent rerouting of the ductwork due to process changes, the Clean Air Clamp Together Duct System lowers the cost of installation and minimizes downtime when moving systems. It is designed to quickly assemble, disassemble, and reassemble to meet changing application requirements.
Main Benefits Are:
- Quicker and easier installations, saving labor costs.
- Works like Legos - with every pipe easy to take apart and periodically clean.
- Future changes are easier to do.
- Cable and Locks are used and make installation easier and future changes possible.
Clamp Together Duct is applicable in virtually any dust collection system from wood to paper to chemical, as well as in fume and oil mist collection. Even abrasive applications can be accommodated. The standard branches and fittings are fabricated from 18 gauge material and can be fabricated in up to 10 gauge. Likewise, elbows and duct can also be fabricated in 10 gauge for use in such applications as sand, coal or other abrasive applications.
A wide variety of gasket materials, coupled with SS material makes it possible for Clamp Together Duct to address even the harshest applications. The standard n-butyl rubber gasket is excellent for 95% of all applications, but the gasket is also available in FDA silicon which is frequently used in food AND hi-temp applications. Viton and Goretex gasket materials address the balance of applications where standard rubbers will be 'eaten' away.
The Clean Air Spiral Lockseam Duct is manufactured by the leading duct manufacturer in the USA, McGill Air Flow and is constructed with an interlocking helical seam that runs the length of the duct. The lockseam is formed on the outside of the duct, providing a smooth interior that results in minimal friction loss. This seam increases the duct's structural strength and rigidity so that it can be used in lighter gauges than rectangular or longitudinal seam duct, making it less expensive, easier to handle, and easier to install. Another factor which makes spiral lockseam duct economical is that it can be fabricated in lengths of 20 feet or greater. These longer sections of duct mean fewer joints and faster installation. We combine the lockseam duct with outer flanges called accu-flanges, resulting in easy installation and superior strengths.

Clean Air Ducted Systems: Correct Balance & Fast, Clamp Together Install
Clean Air America uses the industry's top clamp-together attachment with smooth interior style ducting. This is very easy to install, highly flexible, and uses a clamp to secure each fitting. In comparison to flanged ducting, Clamp Together Style ducting saves 50-70% of installation time. This style ducting is available in up to 24" diameter.
Clean Air also uses, where it is suitable, both smooth interior duct with a variety of flange options, such as "angle rings" and accu-flanges, and spiral style ducting. The duct diameter ranges from 3" to just about anything, 60+".
Correct Balance
Clean Air America's personnel will engineer a correctly balanced ducting system for your application. We engineer and deliver correctly balanced ducting for any scope of work, whether inside or outside of the building or whether using small or large diameter duct.
THE FOREVER CLAMP:
The standard Gasket is n-butyl rubber. It is suited for most applications including standard oil mist, temperatures to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, and dust.
